Sirius XM Trying to Ramp Up Production of 2.0 Lynx SXil Receiver

Crutchfield is "running out of stock" on Sirius XM’s 2.0 Lynx SXil receiver ($249) since taking delivery of the first allocations in late December, said Rick Souder, executive vice president of merchandising. The first of the Lynx products started shipping Dec. 29, Sirius XM officials have said. Crutchfield was among the first retailers to take pre-orders for the device (CED Dec 6 p3) and it has taken Sirius XM "a while to ramp up production," Souder said. It has some backorders, Souder said. The Android-based Lynx also is expected to be available at Best Buy in February. The 2.0 platform debuted in October, adding 22 channels to services, including 12 targeting the Hispanic market. The Bluetooth and Wi-Fi-equipped Lynx can record up to five hours of programming ...
