LG, Like Sony, Accused of Violating BBB Confidentiality Rules

It doesn't happen very often that companies violate the procedures of the National Advertising Division (NAD) of the Council of Better Business Bureaus, but it happened twice in a week as TV manufacturers scrambled for advantage in the hotly contested 3D TV retail space. LG is the latest company to be called out for violating "procedures that govern the advertising industry's system of self-regulation," the NAD said in a statement. "NAD learned that an LG executive contacted customers, including electronics dealers and retailers, regarding the outcome of a recent NAD case," the release said.
